Course objectives
The course prepare students for biology entrance exam to Faculty of Medicine. After completion of the course student: understands elementary cellular processes, basics of genetics and basics of anatomy and physiology of the human body. Knowledge is on the level of high school biology.
Learning outcomes
Student knows the structure of bacterial and eucaryotic cells, comprehends the basic cellular processes, principles of storage and expression of genetic information, principles of inheritance, Mendel laws, knows basics of somatology, structure of tissues, organs, comprehends basic physiology of organ systems, knows basics of ecology and evolution. Student is also able to apply this knowledge and skills in entrance exam on biology.
