- Course objectives
- Public health (VZ) is based on the assumption that health, care and health is not only an essential individual interest and need but also a significant public priority, public good and universal human value. Learning outcomes of the course are to acquaint students with the fact that the health care system is a complex system whose proper function is necessary knowledge of management, economics, law and legislation, information on many other areas. Students learn that the critical common content elements of education include information on the focus, structure, function, competence and responsibility of individual components of the health care organisation system. An important area of research work in public health is also the evaluation of the availability, equity, efficiency, economy and quality of health care.

- By the end of this course student should be able to:
- can explain the concept of public health;
- knows the basic theoretical background and practice of public health;
