Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the subject is theoretical acquaintance with:
- the general foundations and mission of psychiatry in dentistry
- basic division of mental disorders
- etiology of mental disorders
- possible ways of therapy and treatment of patients with mental illness
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:
- describe the meaning and mission of psychiatry in dentistry
- describe the basic division of mental disorders
- describe possibilities of pharmacological treatment of psychoses
- describe diagnoses where non-pharmacological treatment

Assessment methods
The final exam
will be conducted in the form of an online written test in the IS MUNI Answer Book
Successful completion of the exam = 16 or more points
A = 29-30
B= 27-28
C= 22-26
D = 19-21
E = 16-18
The exam will be held in a group in the auditorium of the Psychiatric Clinic under the supervision of a teacher. The duration of the exam - 90 minutes. 2 - 3 dates of the written exam for approximately 30 people will be announced in IS MUNI for January/February 2025.
