Students are supposed to have considerable knowledge of anathomy, histology, biology, biochemistry and physiology.

Course objectives
In this semester students get basic orientation in some difficult branches of general microbiology, mostly:
microbial morphology and physiology, basics of microbial genetics
microbial biofilm and its properties
pathogenicity and virulence, factors of pathogenicity and virulence, pathogenesis and course of infection
antimicrobial immunity, active and passive immunisation
tenacity of microorganisms, basic principles and practical use of decontamination methods

This is the first part of lectures, no specific end. After the second bloc of lectures (VLLM0522p) there is the practical and theoretical examination.
