- Course objectives
- Midwifery practice is very important part of educational programme. Opportunity for applying theoretical knowledge in clinical workstations is afforded. It introduces knowledge and practical skills from the field of secondary care for woman and newborn (gynaecology, delivery room, risk pregnancy department, childbed, newborn department and gynaecological oncology department). It acquaints with special diagnostic and therapeutic processes. Nursing care problems of woman suffering from gynaecological disease, during hospitalisation in gravidity, during childbirth and during childbed are offered to be solved, as well as care for newborn. Students work under the supervision of tutors and mentors on accredited stations. Learning outcomes - student will be able to: - identify individual bio-psycho-socio-spiritual needs of clients using diagnostic algorithm; - propose, execute and evaluate efficiency of care plan in cooperation with multidisciplinary team; - work with medical documentation; - treat clients professionally and emphatically; - retain the latest knowledge and to apply them in day to day work;

- Module subject: Midwifery process: - during abnormal pregnancy; - during physiological and abnormal birth; - woman with abnormal childbed; - for physiological newborn; - woman suffering with gynaecological disease; - wit sterility and infertility; - with oncological disease;
