Course objectives
Anatomy, histology and physiology of the periodontium. Etiology, epidemiology and genetic aspects of the parodontopathies. Classification of the parodontopathies. Clinical aspects of the parodontopathies: gingivitis, periodontitis, atrophy of the periodontium. Parodontopathy in children. Objective and X-ray examination of the periodontium. Diagnosis of the parodontopathies and their determination, the therapeutic plan. Therapy of the gingival and periodontal tissue: hygiene phase - professional removing and controlling of the plaque, occlusal trauma, corrective phase - scaling, root planing, periodontal surgery, principles of the plastic mucogingival and preprosthetic surgery, guided tissue and bone regeneration.

  • - Introduction to the problematic of periodontal diseases. Etiology of periodontal diseases. Anatomy, histology and physiology of periodontal tissues. Gingivitis, periodontitis. - Dental plaque and its importance. Oral hygiene in prevention and treatment of the periodontal diseases. - Classification of the periodontal diseases. Conservative treatment of the periodontal diseases. - Periodontal surgary. - Prosthetic reconstruction of periodontitis, splinting.
