Course objectives
Clinical Medicine includes basic clinical problems. It deals with the etiology and pathogenesis of diseases, their diagnosis, treatment principles, great emphasis is placed on prevention and lifestyle. After completing the course the student will be able to recognize the symptoms of different diseases and in their field of expertise and therapeutically intervene and acute conditions to provide qualified first aid. Students of dental hygiene control principles and is able They are in their profession practically applied.   • Introduction to Clinical Medicine , terminology History, in detail , focusing on dental issues Basic symptoms of selected diseases , local manifestations of systemic diseases in the oral cavity Laboratory tests - overview of hematologic and biochemical values Diseases of the heart and blood vessels , prevention programs - primary , secondary prevention Diabetes mellitus , symptoms, diagnosis, treatment principles , dietary issues, measures of acute complications - hypoglycemia . Diseases of the endocrine glands , symptoms of serious disorders, The metabolic syndrome , hypertension, routine measures , treatment, prevention programs Diseases of hematopoiesis - anemia , coagulation disorders - symptoms, Diseases of the liver and pancreas , symptoms , diet and preventive measures Effect of oral disease and dental status on pathology throughout the digestive tract Gastroduodenal ulcer disease , dietary and therapeutic procedures , prevention of complications Bowel disease - inflammatory bowel disease , polyps , diverticula . colorectal cancer Kidney disease - disease of the parenchyma , urinary tract , urinary infections Diseases of the lungs and respiratory tract , chronic bronchitis , lung cancer , bronchial asthma - basic medical procedures , measures for acute conditions - asthma attack Disorders of nutrition in relation to the state of the teeth and changes in the oral cavity Measures and principles of therapy for acute complications of dental chair Therapy Pain - types of pain , acute pain therapy The importance of infectious diseases , principles for the treatment of positive clients - HIV / AIDS , HbsAg , Allergy , allergic reaction , anaphylactic shock , symptoms , treatment measures
