- Prerequisites
- Bachelor's studies focused on laboratory medicine or natural sciences
- Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is only offered to the students of the study fields the course is directly associated with.
- fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
- Bioanalyst - Specialist in Laboratory Methods (programme PřF, N-BCH)
- Course objectives
- The aim is to provide basic information on the structural and functional characteristics of human immune system, physiology and immunity pathology, immunological treatment and prevention, possibilities and methods of laboratory assessment of immune status in health and illness.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of this course the student will understand basic mechanisms of immune response so that he can understand how development of immune system disorders leads to various forms of immunopathological diseases as well as possibilities of laboratory immunological diagnostics. Student will be able to make decisions about the suitability of immunological tests in specific situations.
