- Course objectives
- At the end of this course the student will be able to understand and explain the physiological and pathophysiological basis of diabetes mellitus forming a group of diseases of different etiology common denominator - hyperglycemia, disease conditional absolute lack of insulin or a relative deficiency in its reduced efficiency. The student on the basis of acquired knowledge does not forget a page psychological, educational and social, which is directly related mainly patient education.
- Syllabus
- Practical training is focused on the education of the patient, their loved ones, monitoring dietary regimen, providing FA with hypoglycemia, assessment of the interaction between injected insulin and food, build dietary regimen, given the type of applied insulin and physical exercise, education child patient, adolescent education, education of adult diabetic , education of parents of patients and family members, management support conversation.
