Course objectives
This subject allows students the first contact with primary care on the ground of their new konwledge of theoretical and preclinical subjects and to obtain the overview of the performance of primary care. The subject of the summer practice will allow students at the time after passing pre-clinical subjects of first contact clinical workplace. - acquaintance with the activities of the general nurses on the nursing unit - acquaintance with the maintained by the health and nursing documentation - acquaintance with the implementation of the nursing process and individual nursing care - familiarity with aseptickými ways of working
Learning outcomes
The student is after completing the course able to:
identify and summarize the main activities of general nurses to the inpatient nursing unit
be versed in the management of medical and nursing documentation
adhere to the basic principles of infection prevention
collaborate and communicates with non-medical workers on the nursing unit
adhere to aseptic procedures in the treatment of the sick

  • implementation of the nursing process and its evaluation
  • meeting the basic needs of the sick
  • sampling of biological material for examination
  • assists in the selected endoscopic examination
  • monitor and record values of vital signs
  • familiarity with assessment scales
  • care of the immobile sick
