- Course objectives
- Radiology and Nuclear Medicine is a discipline aimed at acquainting students with the basics of imaging methods, especially with regard to the risks of X-rays, Atomic Laws and SOPs (Standard Operating Protocols). Part of the subject is mainly information on patient preparation for individual examinations, contraindications of examinations and possible late complications of the examination, including care of patients after examinations, especially with regard to interventional radiological procedures.
- Learning outcomes
- To acquaint students with imaging methods. Clarify interdisciplinary relations mainly among paramedical workers participating in the healing process. To acquaint students with the different modalities of imaging methods and their physical principles. Clarify the need for preparation and ordering conditions for individual radiological examinations.
- Syllabus
- 1. Hygiene of radiation, risks and radiation protection. 2. Division of methods, principles and their use. 3. Collaboration in examining and ordering patients - preparation, contrast agents. 4. Angiography and interventions - patient preparation, care before and after exercise. 5. Sister in the Department of Nuclear Medicine. 6. Specifics of childhood.
