Course objectives
Public Health, Community and Home Care - Practical training is a practical subject that integrates knowledge from the theory and practice of nursing, basic science disciplines, natural, social and behavioral sciences. The subject follows up on the previous nursing practice and provides for consolidation and deepening of nursing knowledge and skills. The content of the subject is a separate practical activity in the form of clinical internships at the workplaces providing community, home and palliative care. The aim of clinical internships is to provide treatment-preventive, nursing and palliative care, as well as educational activities for patients in general practitioner for adults, in home care and in the hospice.
Student will be able to: define the specifics of the nursing process in primary care and palliative medicine, identify the needs of the patients, formulate the nursing problems of the patients, and formulate nursing diagnoses, establish a nursing care plan, evaluate the efficiency of nursing care and nursing interventions, evaluate the nursing care plan, nursing and health records and to record changes in the status of patients according to the students' competencies.

assess the effectiveness of primary, home and palliative care provided.
