- Course objectives
- The goal of nursing practice is to acquire advanced knowledge and skills in highly specialized nursing care for patients in connection with anesthetic performances An integral part of the preparation for specialized roles in selected areas of health care and to obtain information about an establishment where such care is provided. Practice will take place at accredited: anesthesia workstations,
- Learning outcomes
- Student is able to:
Provide highly specialized nursing care to patients in the preparation, course and immediately after completion of all methods and techniques of general and local anesthesia;
monitor and monitor physiological functions, evaluate the condition of possible complications and sudden events and participate in their solution;
to participate in the management of general and local anesthesia;
to prepare instruments, aids and medicaments for individual methods and techniques of general and local anesthesia;
monitor the functionality of special instrumentation and ensure its continued readiness;
to keep documentation related to anesthesia;
monitor and monitor physiological functions, evaluate the condition of possible complications and sudden events and participate in their solution;
Provide highly specialized nursing care to patients following diagnostic and therapeutic methods of heart and blood circulation;
identify complications and participate in their solution;
provide highly specialized nursing care to a child patient aged over 10 with a life-threatening heart disease and blood circulation;
perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation with the use of available equipment including heart fibrillation by electrical discharge
The student is able to: monitor, monitor, and evaluate vital vitality data, participate in the assessment of the severity of the condition; to participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of technical equipment including heart defibrillation by electrical discharge; to monitor the functionality of special anesthetic instrumentation and to ensure constant readiness; to participate in providing highly specialized nursing care to patients before, during and immediately after the termination of all methods of general and local anesthesia; to prepare pharmaceuticals and equipment for individual techniques of general and local anesthesia; to participate in the management of individual techniques of general and local anesthesia; cooperate in performing tracheal intubation; Perform measurement and analysis of physiological functions by specialized techniques using instrumentation techniques including the use of invasive methods;, to be able to prepare the equipment for general anesthesia; to be able to prepare aids and assist in general anesthesia; to be able to prepare and assist with regional anesthesia; to be able to prepare the drugs for general anesthesia; to be able to provide care for the patient when using methods of pain management, know how to explain the ventilation of the patient using a handcuff with a mask on the model, to explain ventilation of the patient using a hand mask with mask, to recognize and analyze ECG curves, to be able to prepare aids and to be able to assist in providing a central venous entry, patient and assisting with puncture or chest drainage, knows pre-operative preparation of the patient, able to explain gastric lavage in a patient with a secured airway. - Syllabus
- Students acquire skills: · Catheterization of the bladder man, · To recognize basic cardiac rhythm disturbances in the ECG record, · The issue of comprehensive highly specialized nursing care for patients requiring UPV including risks, complications related to them and involved in their solution, · Communication with the patient on the UPV, · Monitor the functionality of special instrumentation techniques to conduct and deliver the UPV constant readiness, · Provide comprehensive highly specialized nursing care for the patient with a disorder of consciousness, · Specify individual types of nutrition, apply them critically ill, recognize them complications and participate in their solution, · Apply psychological aspects of nursing care in intensive care, · Communicate with patients in critical condition and their closest ones, · Apply psychological approach and communication techniques in interpersonal relationships, possibilities of caring for their mental health. Students participate: · The correct application of pharmacological agents used in intensive medicine and the recognition of side effects. Performance and frequency (minimum): · Catheterization of the bladder man can be 5 times · Preparation of the fan to perform UPV 5x · Connecting the patient to the fan 5 times · Connection of the patient to noninvasive artificial pulmonary ventilation 2x · Dust extraction by closed suction system 5x · Exhaustion from the airways through the open exhaust system 5x · Changing the position of the endotracheal cannula 5x · Monitoring and analysis of ventilation parameters 5x 101 · Blood collection for blood gases and acid-base balance in conjunction with UPV and analysis of the results 5x · Evaluation of patient status when disconnecting from the fan 3x · The correct procedure for disconnecting the patient from the fan 3x · Extubation of the patient 2x · Comprehensive highly specialized nursing care for a patient with a disorder consciousness 5x · Nutrition assessment based on laboratory examinations 5x · Evaluation of consciousness using evaluation methodologies 5x · Assessing the depth of analgosedation using assessment methodologies 5x · ECG curve analysis 5x
