Course objectives
Main objectives of the course: The student will be a participant in group psychotherapy, where under the guidance of experienced psychotherapists he/she will experience what is usually experienced by patients in similar groups. On the way to their own experience, they will familiarize themselves with the basic psychotherapeutic approaches and techniques that are commonly used in group and individual psychotherapy in healthcare facilities. New experiences in this field will be grounded theoretically in the context of individual personal self-realization of students, but also in the field of medical practice. The aim is to develop and support students with the help of psychotherapeutic techniques and skills that are a prerequisite not only for maintaining mental health but also the basis for good medical practice as a future health care professional.
Learning outcomes
Students will become familiar through their own experience with the basic psychotherapeutic approaches and techniques that are commonly used in group and individual psychotherapy in healthcare facilities.
Syllabus
  • Functions and objectives of individual and group psychotherapy in the health context. Psychotherapeutic directions and their integration. Definition of psychotherapy. The principles of human behavior and experience change. Psychotherapeutic contract, the boundary of relationship, responsibility. Duration of short-term and long-term psychotherapy. Principle of attendance. Phenomenological method. Dialogue. Field Theory. Paradoxical intentions. Processes of change and phase of change. Application of psychotherapy in various health contexts and in various difficulties.

Interactive exercise and supervision.

Requirements for completion of the course - 100% active participation in workshops. Form of the exam - the exam is completed by the credit.
