Course objectives
After this course, student should be able to: - describe and interpret human anatomical structure and its functions - make simply examination of organism's fitness - make simply examination of human sensors - understand importance of antropologic measures andt tests - identify most often structure failure and system functions - use this knowledge for educational praxis - see the point of specific needs of the childish organism
Learning outcomes
Student: - uses the correct professional anthropological terminology and is able to select concepts and physiological processes corresponding to the level of primary school pupils - Perform simple examinations of the fitness of the body and the function of sensory organs - applies anthropometric measurements and tests - defines the most frequent disorders of structure and function of individual systems, identifies the specific needs of the child organism and can use it in pedagogical practice.
Syllabus
  • Lectures: 1) Planes and directs on human body, main parts of human body. 2) Osteology 3) Arthrology 4) Myeology 5) Respiratory system: its structures, funkcions and common malfunctions. 6) Digestive system: its structures, funkcions and common malfunctions. 7) Excretory system: its structures, funkcions and common malfunctions. 8) Sexual system: its structures, funkcions and common malfunctions. 9) Cardiovascular system: its structures, funkcions and common malfunctions. 10) Sensory system: its structures, funkcions and common malfunctions. Practical exercises: 1) Locomotory system: skeletal and muscular system, arthrology, recognizing single human bones, motoric excersises to become aware of own muscles. 2) Respiratory system: SpO2, spirometry, measuring of peak expiratory flue, prevention of smoking. Teaching aids at respiratory system. 3) Digestive system: metabolismus, basal energy expenditure, actual energy expenditure, principles of health nutrition, evaluation of nutritional condition. 4) Sexual system: sexual education on elementary school. 5) Cardiovascular system: heart cycle, pulse frequency, index of fitness, hear sounds, tonometry, EKG 6) Sensory system: visus, blind spot, Purkyně's pictures, examination of color-sense, sense of hear exams, tuning-forks exams, sensual illusions. 7) Visit of Museum of Anatomy.

Teaching methods
Teaching is in the form of lectures accompanied by appropriate videotapes and PPT presentations and ongoing consultations. Teaching is in the form of practical exercises, which include work with protocols and practical tasks.
Assessment methods
The assessment is a cognitive examination of human bones and other anatomical structures and the evaluation of the submitted protocols. The final evaluation is a written test.
