- Course objectives
- The course builds on the knowledge and experience of the participants acquired during the study of school pedagogy, general didactics and didactics of health education 1. The course responds to new findings in the field (health education) and pedagogical, psychological and didactic research on school teaching and learning. The mission of the course is to initiate, support and develop the professional vision, knowledge and action of future health education teachers. The course is built of blocks: 1. curricular documents and health education, 2. specifics of health education didactics, 3. didactic transformation of the curriculum.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, the participant will: - applies knowledge from general didactics and other pedagogical-psychological disciplines; - defines specific problems of teaching health education in primary school; - integrate health education into the education system and the framework curriculum for primary education; - define the didactic skills of a health education teacher; - uses activating teaching methods in health education; analyses a teaching unit; - use the basic terminology of health education with understanding.

- 1. Educational area Human and health - characteristics of the educational area. 2. Expected outcomes and content of health education in the Framework Educational Programme for Primary Education, Standards - Health Education, Methodological Comments to the Standards - Health Education. Revision of curriculum documents. 3. Textbooks in health education. Teaching aids. 4. Vertical and horizontal inter-subject links. 5. Teacher's personality. Didactic skills of the health education teacher. Analysis of the initial state and needs of the school. 6. Planning of teaching in health education. Educational objectives in health education. Motivation in health education. 7. Organisational forms of health education teaching. Teaching methods in health education. 8. Issues of evaluation and classification of pupils in health education.

- The participant didactically transforms a selected topic from the framework curriculum - health education into one teaching unit. Participants present the material created in the group, reflect and discuss the presented topics. The semester assignment is part of the participant's portfolio in the field of didactics.
