Course objectives
All sciences are a combination of theory and measurement. A theory has no practice value unless it can be verified by experiment. In this course, students will learn how the experimental process works by learning how to obtain, analyze and present experimental results.
Syllabus
  • * Sound and its properties. * The vibrations, acoustics beats. * Stroboscope, radiometer, pyrometer. * Working with   oscilloscope. Fourier analysis. * Prism, refractive index,dispersion * Grids, diffraction phenomenon. * Thin lenses * Absorption. Assessment methods
Each student will keep a lab notebook, the purpose of the notebook is to record all aspects of the experiment and to write down any information that may be of importance. The grades are: All Formal Lab Reports and Recitation Attendance The measurement of all given experimental problems and successful hand-in of all measurement reports are required to obtain the credit.
