- Course objectives
- The course's main objective is to develop speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills at upper-intermediate level. The basic study material is the coursebook Outcomes Upper-Intermediate supplemented by various additional materials. Throughout the semester students are encouraged to link theory in the classroom to practice at schools via practical tasks.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course, students should be able to: discuss everyday topics, communicate in everyday situations, read and listen to authentic texts at the upper-intermediate level, and communicate in the language fluently.
- Syllabus
- The basic study material is the coursebook Outcomes UPPER- INTERMEDIATE (Student's book and Workbook), see Literature below. The syllabus includes Units 1- 4, the focus is on speaking and listening activities and the development of students' vocabulary.

- Maximum number of points per semester: 100 Pass mark: 70 (part of this sum is also the final written and oral test, students must obtain at least 70% for these final tests - if not: two resits of the final test are offered) Written test: 40 points Oral test: 30 points; Progress test: 10 points. Other types of continuous assessment: 20 points
