- After this course, student should be able to: - describe and explain the morphology and physiology of the human body; - understand the importance of anthropometric measurements and tests, to explain the basic physico-chemical processes occurring in the human body; - describe the construction of the musculoskeletal human body; - characterize the structure and function of muscular system of human body;
- Syllabus
- The progammatic goal of the lecture is: - obtaining of detailed knowledge about the human body morphology and physiology - familiarizing with the problems of adaptability and variability of human biological structures (physical, behavioural, sociocultural) in the past and in the future The course annotation Somatology Practice 1 develops and deepens theoretical knowledge of students obtained during their lectures and individual study. Holistic system. The programmatic goal - obtaining of detailed knowledge about the human body morphology and physiology - understanding the principles of mutual coordination of the individual parts of human body Basics of Somatometry Craniometry, pelvimetry, backbone examine. Average value and variability value of the height of students in the 4th grade of Faculty of Education in Brno – the basics of biometry. Selected Practise of Biology of Man Essential physically-chemical reactions coinciding in human body. – 1: essential physically-chemical reactions coinciding in human gody – II. Examples of digestion process. Breathing movements – differences between children, men and women. Breath frequency at rest and in tension. A minute breath capacity. Simple examine of heart fitness and blood circulation functions. A minute heart capacity. Heart rate, blood pressure values. Osmotic and oncotic pressure and its meaning in the human organism, the cause of hypertension and atherosclerosis. Methods determining the sugar in urine. Sense of taste, eyesight, sense of hearing – examines. Nerve reflexes.

- Final assessment is a written test of 30 items assessed a single point. For successful completion of the course is necessary to reach 27 points.
