- Course objectives
- The course is intended to provide students with an orientation in basic psychological and sociological concepts, theories and important thinkers. 1. Introduction to psychology and sociology: scientific and folk disciplines, the relationship with other disciplines, epistemology 2. Cognitive psychology: dual process theory, representational heuristics, accessibility, anchoring, noise in human reasoning. Stereotypes, languages and power, prejudice 3. Moral psychology: Piaget, Kohlberg, Gilligan, social domain theory, moral foundations theory, social-intuitionist model 4. Intelligence: history of measurement, nature and nurture, Flynn effect, theory of successful intelligence

- The student will be able to: orient in basic theoretical concepts understand basic psychological and sociological concepts use psychological terminology correctly
