Course objectives
- guide students to the development of professional skills;
- guide students to the development of collegial cooperation;
- teach students to identify their strengths and areas for improvement;
- teach students to recognize different types of needs and motivations;
- teach students to identify different types of interactions between the actors of the teaching process.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student is able to:
• apply different roles in foreign language teaching;
• develop his/her professional skills;
• • cooperate in school and outside the school environment;
• distinguish between the needs and motivations of pupils and their legal representatives and recognize different types of motivation;
• identify different types of interaction in teaching.
Syllabus
  • The teacher as an actor in the teaching process in the teaching of a foreign language - French. (1 hour)
  • Professional development of a foreign language teacher. (1 hour)
  • Possibilities of cooperation in teaching a foreign language. (1 hour)
  • The student, his/her needs and motivation. (1 hour)
  • Teacher-student interaction in French teaching. (1 hour)

Teaching methods
Presentation and work with selected texts and materials. Reflections, activities and case studies.
Assessment methods
The output of the course is the development of a database of motivational resources to support learning. Students will observe what affects motivation during their time at school as part of their teaching practice. Based on this observation, they will develop a database of various activities to support teaching motivation, which will become part of their pedagogical portfolio and which they will be able to use in their further work. At the end of the semester, students hand in the project in printed or electronic form. Feedback is provided orally during the final expert discussion of the project.
