- Course objectives
- At the end of this course the student will be able to: Explain and implement the basic circuits of the digital techniky.Popsat digital circuits and their uses, from basic logic gates to use in microcomputers. They will get acquainted with and understand the operation of electronic systems of today, such as railway security systems, radar systems and air traffic control, GPS and navigation systems and more.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course the student will be able to: Explain and implement the basic circuits of the digital techniky.Popsat digital circuits and their uses, from basic logic gates to use in microcomputers. He will know the operation of electronic systems of today, such as railway security systems, radar systems and air traffic control, GPS and navigation systems and more.
- Syllabus
- 1. Introduction to digital technology, analog and digital signals views 2. Digital system, transfers between the numeral systems 3. Data coding, codes used for machine operation. 4. Logical circuit one and two variable, Boolean algebra, ways to describe logic functions. 5. Minimization of logic functions. 6. Basic logical members, the involvement of TTL logic, CMOS logic circuits 7. Combination Logic members, decoders, multiplexers, comparators. 8. Sequential logic circuits, flip-flop, shift registers, counters. 9. Memories. 10. Basics of Computer Science, the internal layout of your computer. 11. Fundamentals of microprocessor technology. 12.
