Course objectives
The main goal of this course is to deal with the so called second life of literary works in other types of art, as well as to outline some historical and cultural context and influencies between literature and other artistic types. By way of introducing several examples (especially with taking the advantage of cultural potential of the city of Brno) some different approaches to the same artistic topic will be introduced; differences in the perception will be dealt as well. Some possibilities of using some works of arts in the process of Czech language teaching (or other subjects) will be pointed out as well. After completing the course student should be able to: - understand principles of transfer of topic between various types of art - distinguish specific means of expression of the theatre, cinema, visual arts and music - describe one´s own experience - analyse and interpret a work of art - think about the possibilities of using other artistic types in Czech language and literature lessons
