- Course objectives
- Molecular Physics deals with the interactions between the particles and structure of substances. Thermodynamics is a phenomenological macroscopic insight to the processes in the physical system.
- Syllabus
- 1. Thermodynamic system. Internal energy, heat and work. Temperature.
- 2. Expansion of solids and liquids.
- 3. Heat exchange
- 4. The kinetic theory of gases, pressure ideal gas, the basic laws of gases.
- 5. Maxwellův law division of the speed of molecules.
- 6. Central free path of gas molecules. Transport Phenomena in gases. The mixture of gases. Daltons law.
- 7. Gases at low pressures. State Equation of real gas.
- 8. Work. Reversible and irreversible process. Internal energy of ideal gas. The 1.law of thermodynamic for the ideal gas.
- 9. The 2. law of thermodynamic.
- 10. Carnotův cycle. Thermodynamic temperature measurement.
- 11. Entropy. The statistical interpretation of the second law of thermodynamic.
