Course objectives
To acquaint students with contemporary Russia: geography, culture, architecture, customs and mentality of the population. Furthermore, to develop language skills and speaking skills. Students concurrently develop their language skills in listening and reading Russian film, music, texts from the Internet. The course is provide students with basic knowledge of Russian life, to bring relevant information to the geographic, cultural and political.

  • The content of the subject was included in the following topics: 1st Geography of Russia. Climatic and natural conditions, and surface waters. 2nd The Political System of the Russian Federation. 3rd Moscow. Capital. Monuments. 4th St. Petersburg. Window to Europe. Monuments. Tourism. 5th Architectural monuments. North of Russia and the Golden Ring. 6th Orthodoxy, holidays and customs. 7th Russian tradition. 8th Russian cuisine (borsch, ear, science, Pelmeni, šašlyk, leaven).

Teaching methods
6 hours contact -group projects and individual work with the Russian-speaking lyrics, students seeking information on the topics discussed, prepare presentations.
Assessment methods
Fulfilling requirements: The quality of information and also the correct pronunciation, intonation and vocabulary. In the last week of students transfer presentations to one of the topics
