Course objectives
The goal is to develop communication skills and deepen practical knowledge of Russian language. At the end of this course student will be able to converse in the discussed topics; to use grammar and stylistic devices correctly; to communicate in Russian language using the new vocabulary.

  • Into the contentual part of the subject have been inserted these basic conversational topics: 1. Turism. 2. Holidays. 3. Housing. 4. Removal and reconstruction. 5. Culture. 6. Theater, cinema, exhibitions. 7. Policy. 8. Art and politics. 9. Food, eating. 10.Russian and Czech cuisine. 11.Christmas and Easter traditions. 12.Family holidays.

Teaching methods
Regular active participation in the class. Listening in Russian language. Reading Russian texts and training the correct pronunciation.
Assessment methods
Exam is composed of written and oral parts. After successfully writing final test (at least 75% is needed to pass) student can go to the oral part of exam. Oral exam - discussion with the teacher. The discussion will be based on the topics from the course, the reading (Russian book - 200 p., the student will bring and show the book, and listening (audio, video, DVD). The student will also provide a vocabulary exercise book, which will contain at least fifty new words.
