Course objectives
Basic characteristics of culture in individual historical epochs in di development of European civilisation from primeval times to Postmodernism. Emphasis on the main authors, works and historical sights, including the spirit of the epoch.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Počátky kultury v období evropského pravěku. Kultura ve starověkém Řecku. Kultura starého Říma. Kultura doby předrománské, románské, období gotiky. Novodobá kultura období renesance, manýrismu, baroka, rokoka, klasicismu a empíru. Moderní kultura období romantismu, realismu. Kultura období secese, moderny, postmoderny.
