- Course objectives
- By and large, the course Řečové dovednosti is based on communicative approach and thus focuses on spoken language. Its main aim is to improve students' speaking skills, i.e., their ability to express themselves fluently and native like. Moreover, participants in this course will be provided with various handouts and additional materials, which should extend their vocabulary in general and also support the occasional usage of informal and idiomatic English. Finally, students will also practise different aspects of English grammar which may cause them difficulties at times.
- Syllabus
- -the coursebook 'Inside Out', Intermediate: Units 1,2,3 -project reading based on the book 'About a Boy' by Nick Hornby -various communicative activities - pair work, group work -exercises and activities on the grounds of provided handouts and worksheets (vocabulary, speaking as well as grammar practice)
- Assessment methods (in Czech)
- Requirements: -regular attendance (3 absences a term are acceptable) -required homework -active participation -revision tests -final written and oral credit test based on the coursebook, course texts and handouts (pass mark 65%)
