Course objectives
Practical introduction to phonetic system of Russian language. Practice of Russian accent. Types and places of accent, reduction and its basic positions, formation of syllables, voice system, melody (Czech/Russian differences), sounds, consonants and vowels, vowels’ classification, labialization. Revisions of all forms of transcription.
Syllabus
  • 1. Intonation in Simple sentence. IK-1. Declarative sentence. Stressed Russian vowels i y, ja, jo, ju, je. 2. Dividing sentence into syntagms. Unstressed vowels o, a, je, a (graphical ja). 3. IK 2. Intonation in interrogative sentence with interrogative word. Voiced and un-voiced consonants. 4. Intonation in interrogative sentence without interrogative word. 5. Intonation in interrogative sentence with particles nu, tak, vsjo-taki. 6. Interrogative sentences with specification. 7. Special intonation in interrogative sentences. 8. Intonation construct in emotionally-colored sentences. 9. Intonation particularities in poems and prose.
