- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The Aim of Tuition: On the basis of the general recognition of geography of population and settlement, its factography and its methods - to gain 1) the ability of aimed acquiring of new concrete knowledge of the dealing theme and 2) the ability of synthesis of the said knowledge within the complex framework of developmental relationship of partial geographical spheres - with emphasis on the problem of didactics transformation.

- The Fundamental Themes of Lectures:
- 1. Geography of population and settlements as scientific discipline
- 2. Geograpgical aspects of the rise, the forming and the spreading of mankind and human races
- 3. The forms of the spatial organization of population
- 4. Characteristics of population
- a) quantitative (number, density of population)
- b) structural (biological, cultural, economic, legal and political
- c) dynamical (natural movement, mechanical movement, social movement)
- 5. Geographical aspects of population problems
- 6. Geographical aspects of the rise, the forming and the spreading of habitation
- 7. The types of settlements
- 8. The structure and systems of settlements
- 9. Urbanization
- Language of instruction
