Course objectives
The aim of this course is a systematic repetition and consolidation of the most important vocabulary and structures acquired at the basic level. Special attention will be paid to listening comprehension and speech.
Syllabus
  • The content of the class is more or less equivalent to the first unit of Mittelstufe Deutsch:
  • - Morphology and use of the imperfect tense,
  • - Nominalizations,
  • - The use of particles,
  • - Prepositions governing genitive case,
  • - Discussing statistics,
  • - Hearing comprehension,
  • - Cultural studies: Vital statistics.

Assessment methods
The class aims at developing the students’ practical language skills. A certificate (zápocet) can be acquired on the basis of a written test at the end of the term. During the term, students might be asked to fulfill different homework and exercises. A special e-learning course is provided on moodlinka (cf. full address below) containing further obligatory exercises.
