Course objectives
Chapters from the contemporary Austrian juvenile literature. Analysis of the work of the following writers: Mira Lobe, Vera Ferra-Mikura, Käthe Recheis, Christine Nöstlinger, Renate Welsh, Lene Mayer-Skumanz, Jutta Treiber, Rosmarie Thüminger, Barbara Frischmuth. The teaching language ist German.
Syllabus
  • Novels and short stories of the Austrian writers. Realistic novels and short stories. Autobiographical texts. Historical novels, with the special stress on the Second World War. Poetry for children, nursery rhyme, nonsense, puzzle.
