Course objectives
The Aim of Tuition: On the basis of the general recognition of religiogeography, its factography and its methods - to gain 1) the ability of aimed acquiring of new concrete knowledge of the dealing region and 2) the ability of synthesis of the said knowledge within the framework of developmental relationship of partial geographical spheres - with emphasis on the problem of didactics transformation.

  • The Fundamental Themes of Seminars:
  • 1) The development of geographical approaches to the problems of belief and religion
  • 2) The bases of religiogeography as scientific discipline, its importance and problems
  • 3) The geographical aspects of rise, development and broading of confessions
  • 4) The contemporary extension of conffesions
  • 5) The contemporary geographical aspects of religion problems
  • 6) The geographical aspects of religion in Czech republic
  • 7) The geographical aspects of didactics transfomation of religion problems

Assessment methods
The course is realized by the form of discussion in seminar groups. Student is given a topic on which to write an essay. The essay is obligatory to complete this course successfully. Students should prove there the understanding of general religiogeography, its methods and factography with emphasis on didactic transformation.
