Course objectives
The standards of geographical education are the introduction to the broad issue of school geography and the educational system in general. They gain in importance particularly in conditions of alternative educational programmes where the ways to get an education may differ, but the final aim should be the same.

  • - AIM STANDARDS AND ESSENTIAL CURRICULUM FOR BASIC EDUCATION. - CURRICULUM AND ITS STRUCTURE. - CONTENT STANDARDS OF INDIVIDUAL SUBJECTS AND THEIR LINKAGE TO GEOGRAPHY. - CONCEPTION OF CONTENT STANDARDS ABROAD. - GEOGRAPHY CONTENT STANDARDS–THE WORLD SPATIAL IN TERMS–PLACES AND REGIONS–PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHIC SYSTEMS–HUMAN SYSTEMS–ENVIRONMENT-AND SOCIETY–USE OF GEOGRAPHY.
