Than they practice the interpretation of the meaning and function of the sentence and of various language units and phonetic means in the sentence. Than the students will make analysis of the structure of the sentence, recognize the elements of the sentence (subject, object, circumstance, attribute, verbal attribute), the syntactical relations between/among the elements of the sentence and make graphical depiction of the sentence structure. The students shall recognize syntactical structure based on the valence of the predicative verbs, semantic meaning of that syntactical structure, differ the surface and deep structure of the sentence.
It is pressupposed that students after finishing the course:
- know the terminology of the syntax and are able to explain the terminology of comtemporary theories of syntax dealing with the sentence and enuntiation;
