Course objectives
Students should learn to use sentence structures in verbal communication, especially in dialogues.
Syllabus
  • Text analysis, identifying of types of syntactical relations in sentence, modes of main sentence elements expression and their identification in sentence. Practice in translation from Czech to Russian language and vice versa. Main focus on differences. At the same time accords and similarities are practiced, so as not to distort the overall view of syntactical tools in standard Russian language. Simple sentence and complex and compound sentence, one-element and two-elements sentences, SV sentence, and SVOC sentence, basic sentence elements (nominative, predicate).

Teaching methods
The work on individual projects, syntax excercises.
Assessment methods
The credit requirements 1. Regular active participation in the class: two absences per semester are allowed, continuous assessment and doing the required home assignments based on the learnt theory and terminology. 2. Test at the end of course based on the work done in the class.
