Course objectives
The course provides an overview of the geography of industry knowledge and geography of agriculture in the range of needs of future teachers in primary school. The theoretical basis for interpretation is the understanding of the current development of spatial theories.
Syllabus
  • Genesis social and economic geography, their position in the general system of science and disciplines related to the relatives. 2. Spatial theory, their genesis, development stage and the current status and importance. 3. Location factors and their role in placing the production, manufacturing and the environment. 4. Shaping the spatial structure of industry, application of geographical inertia and the process of globalization. 5. Development stage and typology of the world economy, its regional differentiation. The importance of the manufacturing sector. 6. The geographical characteristics of different groups of industries (mining, energy-metallurgical, chemical, engineering, consumer and food industry). 7. Agricultural production as an objective research geography Agriculture (basic characteristics and functions). 8. The importance of classification and conditions for the location of crop and livestock production, the geographic origin of crops and animals. 9. Regional differentiation of each of the agricultural sector (the basic features, links and causes). 10. Geographical aspects of other industries (fisheries, forestry and water management). 13. Problems and prospects for the current development of the world economy (geography of hunger).
