Course objectives
The main objective is to improve the students' English in all four major skill groups: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Classes will cover Units 12-13 in the coursebook Inside Out Upper-Intermediate and Units 1-2 in the coursebook Inside Out Advanced. As students are training to be teachers, they will be expected to take an active role in their own learning, with an eye toward understanding how to share information with their peers, and later their own students.At the end of the course students should be able to understand how to present a topic of interest to them. They should be able to interpret texts of an advanced level and be able to respond to advanced-level input with a high level of accuracy.

Teaching methods
Students will take part in pair-work, group-work, class discussions and online forums and will be expected to give a presentation and write an assignment.
Assessment methods
Continuous assessment is based on the results of the mid-term test (25 points), written assignment (20 points), contributions to forums (10 points), and a one-minute class presentation (5 points). The overall number of points students can reach for the course is 60. The mid-term test will include the vocabulary and grammar covered in class or assigned for homework. Students have to get at least 40 points for continuous assessment in order to be allowed to take the final test during the exam period. The final test will include a listening part, a reading part, and an open question that students will have to answer at some length. The pass mark is 70%.
