Course objectives
After passing the course, students are able to demonstrate and apply technique and methodics of teaching basic motoric skills on the snow and ice, in a playful form focused on specific exercises used within winter kindergarten camps.
Syllabus
  • 1. Games in the snow 2. Sliding, sledging, riding with bob or other appropriate gear, possibilities of motoric activities on the ice and snow 3. Technique and methodics of classical cross-country skiing styles in a playful form, respecting the specialties of pre-school education, aimed at practical application within ski touristics later on 4. Technique and methodics of teaching basics of downhill skiing and making turns in a playful form respecting the specialties of pre-school education 5. Specialties of methodics of teaching children basic ice-skating skills, games on ice 6. Preparation and realisation of winter kindergarten camp, focused on seasonal motoric activities Individual work on: motoric curriculum of winter kindergarten camps, possibilities of its incorporation into daily regime - including a backup programme in case of bad weather
