- Course objectives
- At the end of this course the student will acquire knowledge of computer communication networks, the student will be able to virtually configure a computer network, will be able to analyze problems in the network and address, will be able to understand and explain the principles of transmission networks and their participation;
- Syllabus
- 1st Classification and basic concepts of computer networks (Introduction to computer networks, sorts - LAN, WAN, Server, Client ...)
- 2nd ISO OSI model, TCP / IP ( Communication in the TCP / IP, IP addressing, subnetting, named address translation ...)
- 3rd TCP / IP - reports (protocols for the transfer of addresses, web, e-mail, ftp, routing ...)
- 4th HW Network (transmission medium, HUB, Switch, Router, principles and use)
- 5th LAN - Ethernet (Types of Ethernet, parameters, and the involvement of the installation, ATM and other networks)
- 6th Internet (Internet Services, the principle routing in the Internet )
- 7th Wireless computer networks (WiFi, IR, Laser, Bluetooth, an example of integration and network settings)
- 8th Overview of the network OS (Windows, Linux, Novell. Properties and the possibility of differences)
- 9th Configuration and management of LAN - Windows (For example, connections and network settings, sharing resources and services over the network to connect to the Internet )
- 10th Configuration and management of LAN - Linux (Installation and configuration of the station, the connection)
- 11th Configuration and management of LAN - Novell (Installation of the network settings in the System Novell)
- 12th Network Security (Security networks, encryption, firewall, ...)
