Course objectives
Development of practical skills in voice system of Russian language. Working towards proper Russian pronunciation by means of text reading and listening exercises. Deepening of proper orthoepic habits by means of practicing of some consonant links. Special focus is given to accent as especially difficult phenomenon of Russian language. For this reason, particular exercises are provided. Emphasis is also given on practice of consonant groups and transcription.
Syllabus
  • Transcription. Stressed Russian vowels ja, jo, ju, je. Unstressed vowels. Voiced and unvoiced vowels. Russian and Czech h. Hard and soft consonants. Double consonants in Russian. Pronunciation of some vowels groups.

Active attendance, performing major tasks, self work. reading and writing in russian language recomended.
Assessment methods
The oral credit (reading poems and short sentences). The correct pronunciation is evaluated.
