- Course objectives
- The student will learn about the development of English (landscape) garden, and will read and discuss essays and fiction which reflects this development. By the end of the course, the student should be able to: 1. demonstrate an understanding of the English garden within cultural, literary and regional context,2. respond (eco)critically to selected British literature, analyzing and interpreting a variety of texts, 3. refer about gardens and gardening in adequate terms.
