Course objectives
Course goals:
The course focuses on the theme of movement in the American literature, and examines it on selected writings from the colonial literature to the 20th century. Students are encouraged to read and discuss the texts, find key ideas and interpret them within various contexts. A close focus is given to the philosophy of the beat generation.

  • Seminar 5: Entering Postmodernism. Reading: Jack Kerouac.
