Course objectives
Listeners will be available to course syllabus and be familiar with the literature study.
The course is basic knowledge of terminology, anatomy and function of the human visual organ. In addition, students will be familiarized with the basic disease states, related to vision, with their etiology, patophysiology, symptoms, therapy and prevention.
Listeners can ask questions, comments, suggestions. According to their complaints, the teacher focuses on the difficult and hot topics.
Inputs from Learning
Upon successful completion of this course student will be familiar with basic concepts from   anatomy and physiology of the eye, to understand the selected pathological states, their causes, occurrence, manifestations, treatment and prevention.
Syllabus
  • 1.Ophtalmology Organ of vision.
  • 2. Anatomical structure of human eye.
  • 3. Basic physiology of vision.
  • 4. Exposition of basic concepts - accommodation of the eye.
  • 5. Visual definition.
  • 6 Adaptation, colour sense, field of vision, intraocular pressure.
  • 7. Survey of most significant optical disorders, their relation to damage of optical functions.
  • 8. Determination of basic concept criteria in relation to eye diseases - dim- and weak-sightedness.
  • 9. Practical and total blindness.
  • 10. Impact of these and ways of treating them.

Teaching methods
Lecture with lots of difficult interpretation of the substance, theoretical preparation of the recommended print and electronic information sources. Feedback - the audience response during a lecture or in consultation hours.
Assessment methods
Examination / Colloquium of the course, students carried out in writing, in the form of a written test. The test contains 10 questions with closed answers free. For successful completion of the course must be at least half right answer. Lines to test the public, respect curricula. In case of disagreement, the student or other barriers which prevent it from writing to meet the (test), you can try to make orally. Teachers entering students 3 questions, based on the syllabus of the course, give him a written preparation.
In agreement with the students teaching them to save the home preparation of recommended sources of information to the next lesson. If necessary, a new interpretation of the substance to verify and briefly recall anatomical and physiological conditions in the body (in words, pictures, diagrams, video projection, PC presentations). In the absence of the student in his classroom teacher can enter a brief written treatment of the subject, relating to the substance discussed. Tutorial students can use to address problems relating to the subject and his studies.
