The basic study material is New English File Upper Intermediate. The students are expected to be acquinted with the first four files and those who did not pass Practical language 2A and 2B have to take a test that covers the syllabus of the two courses. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- The main objective of the course is to develop speaking, reading, writing and listening skills at upper-intermediate level. The basic study material is coursebook New English File Upper-Intermediate supplemented by various additional materials.
At the end of the course students should be able to: discuss everyday topics, communicate in everyday situations, read and listen to authentic texts at upper-intermediate level and communicate in the language fluently. - Syllabus
- The basic study material is the coursebook New English File UPPER- INTERMEDIATE (Student's book and Workbook), see Literature below. The syllabus includes Units 5 - 6, the focus is on speaking and listening activities and development of students' vocabulary.

- Requirements: assigned homework, i.e. prepare the corresponding section of the Unit (e.g. in section 1A read the text, study the vocabulary); active participation; progress tests
Methods: discussions, group work activities, pair work activities, listening and reading tasks. The lessons will be focused on speaking, listening and reading. Credit test in January: summary of Units 5 - 6 - Language of instruction
