Course objectives
Students will work on:
enhancing professional competencies in cooperation with a mentor,
gradually gaining independence from the mentor,
independent preparation and organization of lessons,
deepening reflective and self-reflective skills
raising their language awareness and the proper use of the mother tongue and target language
giving constructive feedback to their learners

Assessment methods
regular attendance at school, where the student performs teaching practice,
submission of fulfilled portfolio task and educational journal,
students who arrange their TP in Brno:
students invite their faculty teacher (Ms Hanušová) to observe a lesson or two. It is necessary to negotiate the date by September 20.
Students who will be teaching outside Brno:
video two of your lessons and bring the recordings.
All students have to be actively involved in the discussion forums in moodlinka during their TP (5 postings at least).
Required materials:
10 lesson plans (written before the lessons!), can be typed or handwritten + handwritten reflections added after the lessons.
Report (500 - 1000 words) - expectations, impressions from the school,experience with Rámcový vzdělávací program and Školní vzdělávací program (ask the teachers at your school), what you learnt at the school.
Teaching records including formal lesson plans, reflective journal.
Acceptable materials: give evidence of effort, careful consideration of a number of aspects, and creativity.
Unacceptable materials: hurried, careless, formal, materials are just piled. Plagiarised. Contracts with mentors (100 Kc per lesson)- 3 copies, mentor evaluation(both forms downloadable from the dept website).
Deadline for all TP materials: October 30.
