- Course objectives
- Main objectives can be summarized as follows:
- to finish the chemically specialised preparation of future lower secondary school chemistry teachers.
- to recapitulate specialised chemical knowledge and to improve it according to the wishes of the students. - Syllabus
- General chemistry:
- 1. Fundamental particles. Structure of atom. Structure of atom nucleus, radioactivity, nuclear reactions. Electrones in atoms.
- 2. Periodical law and its applications. Basic chemical laws.
- 3. Chemical bonding, intermolecular interactions. Theory of hybridisation, method VSEPR.
- Inorganic chemistry:
- 4. Nomenclature of inorganic compounds. Hydrogen. Alkali metals. Magnesium and alkaline earth metals. Boron, aluminium.
- 5. Carbon and its inorganic compounds. Silicon, germanium, tin, lead. Nitrogen. Phosphorus. Group 16, 17, 18.
- 6. Group 6. Group 7. Fe, Co, Ni. Group 11. Group 12. Group of lanthan, group of actinium.
- Organic chemistry:
- 7. Possibilities of chemical bonds of carbons atom in organic compounds
