Course objectives
In this seminar students should improve their knowledge already acquired in language practice seminar. Students will promote their communicative abilities by the means of dialogues, discussions and conversational topics. They should improve their verbal abilities in terms of grammar, pronounciation and vocabulary. Students should also improve their listening and reading skills.
Syllabus
  • The emphasis is based on increasing of communicative skills having discussions and meetings in the ambit of actual conversational topics (with using Russian periodics and newspapers) 22. - 28. lesson from studentbook Ruština nejen pro samouky: 1.The weather. The weather during the year. 2.Travelling. What means of transport do you prefer? 3.Who is a better driver? A man or a woman? 4.How do you spend your free time? 5.Do you like a theatre or a cinema? 6.From the letter to the internet.

Teaching methods
Presentations, discussion. The student must prepare regulary for the seminar and do required home assingnments. Listening and reading of Russian texts.
Assessment methods
Attendance 80% (two absences allowed). Short (5min.) presentation on the one of discussed points. Essay on the given topic at the last lesson. Essay will be checked by teacher. If it will have gramatical, lexical or stylistical mistakes, essay will be given back for rewriting.
