In the practical usage they can build correct context-bound words, analyse compounds and derivates as well as understand their meaning in a context. Further, the students know the principles of forming abbreviations and clippings, some kinds of proper names, diminutives and words denoting opposite sex. They are able to describe and analyse the respective features contrastively using corpus data and they can compare these results with linguistic literature.
