- Course objectives
- The course is focused on gaining basic knowledge in the field of literary theory with regards to the matters of children’s and youth literature. After successfully completing the course, the student gains basic knowledge in the field of literary theory necessary for their own reception and interpretation of the youth literature.
- Syllabus
- 1. Basic concepts and the literature of the course. 2. Literature, letters, national and world literature. 3. The organization of a literary process. 4. Literary genres. 5. Youth literature, its specifics and genres. 6. Composition devices of literary works. 7. Literary character (and its typology in regards to the matters of children’s reading), narrator, author. 8. Prosody. 9. Linguistic devices of literary works. 10. Tropes 11. Syntactic devices of literary works. 12. Affective uses of language.
